Your decompression begins before you even arrive, as you make your way through the gentle winding roads, passing farmhouses, silos, and corn fields. When you pull into the long, forested driveway, you are truly transported into timeless tranquility.

A long winding drive leads to this modern hideaway, offering peace, privacy and pastoral views. This 10-acre property consists of the Main house, an independent two-bedroom Guest House above an oversized Studio space perfect for Yoga/Workshops/Family Lounging, a Converted Insulated Outbuilding that sleeps 4, and a huge Ceremonial Tipi (teepee).

***Please note the nightly rate is for up to 16 guests. There will be an additional nightly fee of $50 per person per night for additional guests.

The post-and-beam 5 bedroom Main House features fine materials and unique touches throughout. A beautiful bluestone patio brings you to the entry porch. You enter your personal door code and walk in the entryway where your shoes come off and your relaxation begins.

Our favorite feature on this floor is the wraparound upper deck with additional seating for 8. It is a perfect way to take in the magic of the changing leaves overlooking the Hudson Valley at sunset. As a visiting Appalachian Blues man said after blowing his harmonica at sunrise, "This whole place really is made for music, its a perfect slice".

The open living/dining/kitchen is very spacious, well-appointed, and VERY comfortable. Completely relax with our cathedral ceilings, radiant heated cherry floors, multiple picture windows in a living room that is anchored by a grand stone fireplace with all the supplies to enjoy a toasty fire and take in the majestic west-facing views of the Taconic Range.

When my son walked into the wide open chef's kitchen (complete with Wolf stove, 2 ovens, Subzero fridge/freezer, a Wolfgang Puck toaster oven, and serving for 20) he said, "DAD! What the... REALLY? this is my DREAM kitchen!!".

Play some music on the Sonos while making yourself at home making dinner on the stone tile counters.

The first-floor Primary Bedroom Suite redefines the meaning of a spacious Primary Suite: it has a King-size bed, Chest of drawers, sound system, glass doors to private deck, perfect for our morning coffee and meditation. A TV/sleeping alcove with a trundle bed, and a two-part bathroom with stone tile shower and soaking tub-with-a-view.

The upstairs features two bedrooms with cathedral ceilings, A/C, and share a cool Jack-and-Jill bathroom.

Entering the bright, walk-out lower level, another splendid realm awaits you, with radiant-heated stone flooring throughout.

This wonderful family room complete with TV and Sonos (controlled upstairs), features another stone fireplace, huge glass doors to a bluestone patio, and custom bar with reverse osmosis ice maker, full-size sub-zero fridge & wine cooler. Two more beautiful bedrooms, each with access to the patio, share a bath. The utility room and laundry are also found on this level.

The house features smart thermostats, alarm system, built-in sound throughout, cutting edge Exhale fans, and the best high-efficiency mechanicals. Split units provide air conditioning.

***The insulated Out Building is lovingly called the She Shed. It is painted Gold inside and has a Split A/C and Heating unit with Two Queen Sized Beds, and Desk. It opens to the Main House lower deck and Saltwater Hot Tub.

***The Guest House is located 20 yards from the Main House. The Guest House has two decks, the upper deck has a barbecue grill and out door dining table and chairs. The lower deck has Adirondack lounge chairs, swing chairs and a hammock. There is an open fire pit for grilling or an evening wood fire to sit by.

There are two beautiful and pleasant bedrooms with queen size beds and one bath. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave and under the counter oven. There is also a washer and dryer within the cottage. There are two twin rollaways if you'd like extra guests.

***The Temple/Studio is our glamorous converted 26' X 26' Garage located on the lower level of the Guest House. It has plush carpets and radiant floor heating making it perfect for all seasons. Yoga, workshops, family relaxation and more memories can be had. The sliding glass doors open up to the lower patio and Fire Pit and is a short walk away from the Tipi. We have floor chairs, pillows and yoga mats available for your use.

***We love sharing the beauty of our ceremonial Shoshone Tipi, which has been blessed by several tribal elders during its life. Because of the spiritual nature of this Tipi, we respectfully invite all guests to feel free to explore outside and around the Tipi. We do ask that, unless you have explicitly reserved the Tipi ahead of time, please do not go inside... and especially keep open flame out of and away from the Tipi. If you'd like to reserve the Tipi, please let us know in your reservation inquiry and we can arrange a phone call.

You will have access to the entire Property.

The Main House is featured at the top of a hill on 10 acres, with sweeping views of the Hudson Valley. Guests will have access to the entire 5 bedroom home, 2 decks, patio with hammock chairs, private yard, and salt water hot tub.

There is a private 2 Bedroom Guest House located on the property near the Main House.

Each building on the property has it's own private yard as well as access to the Nature Trails.

We love sharing the beauty of our ceremonial Shoshone Tipi, which has been blessed by several tribal elders during its life. Because of the spiritual nature of this Tipi, we respectfully invite all guests to feel free to explore outside and around the Tipi. We do ask that, unless you have explicitly reserved the Tipi ahead of time, please do not go inside... and especially keep open flame out of and away from the Tipi.

Our home is quiet and private, and a short drive away from incredible farm to table restaurants, farmer's markets, shops, waterfalls, ski areas, Copake Lake, and outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, boating, skiing and more!

By Plane: Fly into Albany Airport and take a taxi to our home. Or Fly into LGA, Newark or JFK and take a train or car to our home.
By Car: It's an easy trip 2 hours north of NYC.
By Train: Take the Amtrak from Penn Station Moynihan Hall to Hudson, NY. Then take an uber or taxi 15 minutes to our home.

This Sanctuary is located one mile from Copake Lake and Copake Country Club and Golf Course. We have a Private Dock on the lake during the summer months available for your use. The Guest House is near the gentrified town Hillsdale, NY which is only 15 minutes away as well as Historic City of Hudson and Great Barrington MA just 30 minutes away.

Our Home is strategically located with easy access to many activities and historic sites within a short drive. Other recreational activities opportunities include skiing at Catamount Mountain Resort and Butternut Ski Resort in MA; Antiquing, biking trails, Hiking and many other activities all within 30 minutes drive. There are many fine local restaurants as well as coffee shops, grocery stores and farmers markets which are open on most weekends.

6 person Salt Water Hot Tub, Fire Pit, 10 acres including a trail. 2 great decks for coffee/tea in the morning. The home and land have been blessed and there are many nooks to meditate and connect with nature.

We also feature the added security of Brinks 24-hour exterior cameras, as well as fire/smoke/flood/carbon monoxide monitoring, with automatic emergency service dispatch.

Fully Stocked with Firewood for cozy fires in the fire pit outside and in the two large stone indoor fireplaces. A summer AND winter's dream. Year round beauty.
