As part of Breezy Hill Farm, you have access to nearly 50 acres of grounds, gardens, and trails. Walk onto catamount, and gaze at an unobstructed 50 mile view of the Catskills from the property. Two bedrooms offer two queen beds. Full kitchen. Laundry. Well lit office. Your perfect weekend getaway. The Cottage started its life as a poultry house. Built in the mid 1930's, it is one of the only surviving structures from the days of the original Van Deusen family farm. Experience the comfort of a newly finished renovation along with the wonky charm of the original farm building. Inside, you will find yourself surrounded by the things that make you feel like you've arrived at home. Sink into a leather club chair with a book from the bookcase. Put a record on the phonograph. Open the French doors to the deck and let in the mountain breeze. The main space is an open concept with a well-proportioned kitchen. Large quartz island. Viking Stove. New stainless steel refrigerator & Dish washer. Two sets of French doors open onto a spacious deck for seamless indoor-outdoor living. A covered porch shelters one half of the deck where there is a comfortable seating area overlooking the boughs of the Japanese and Red Maple trees, and the valley beyond. There are indoor, and outdoor dining areas. A new Weber gas grill anchors the end of the deck. The living area provides a large sofa, two leather club chairs, a smart tv, and plenty of reading material. A separate office adjoins the kitchen through a pocket door. There are two additional XL twin bunk beds in this space as well. Next to this is the butler's pantry where the laundry, microwave and additional kitchen storage is located. Beyond the pantry is a mud room and the back entrance to the cottage which leads to the brick walk and the back gardens. Lots of storage for coats and skis. There is one bathroom. Heated marble floors. Double vanity marble sink. Walk in shower. Two bedrooms provide two queen beds at the opposite end of the cottage from the office bunks. During your stay you have access to the cottage and the immediate surrounding lawn. Because you are a guest of Breezy Hill Farm, you also have access to some adjoining areas. There is an extensive trail system in the woods behind the cottage, as well as the meadows on the opposite side of the main house. Across the road, you will find cutting gardens and a pond with a floating dock. It is fully stocked, but please do not fish it. You may swim at your own risk. There is no life guard. The property continues beyond the pond and up the mountain. You can hike all the way up to Catamount if you like. You will end up on Sidewinder, the ski run. You can continue up the mountain to the South Taconic trail and on over into that trail system. Spectacular views from the top of Catamount. Please remember that this is a working estate. There are other families occupying the main house and its wings. Please keep their privacy in mind, and avoid those areas closest to them. There is also a service garage across the road. Generally, there will be grounds keepers and mechanics working on a variety of projects there.
